Privacy
This is a translation provided for convenience. Only the French version is legally binding.
We collect as little data as possible, solely to respond to your requests, and we never sell it. This page explains what data is processed, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights.
Data controllers
Aurèle Christen and Till Kayser, founders of the Versatile studio, are joint controllers of the processing of your data. For any question: contact@versatile-edit.com.
Data collected
- Quote request form: name, email address, organisation and phone number (optional), type of organisation, needs, deadline, indicative budget and message. Your request is sent to us by email; the site itself keeps no copy of it.
- Protection of the form against abuse: to limit the number of submissions, the site keeps for 24 hours the time of each submission and a fingerprint of the IP address, not the address itself.
- Exchanges by email or phone: the information you choose to send us.
- Technical data: the site’s host keeps connection logs (IP address, date, page requested) for the security of the service.
Purposes and legal bases
- Responding to your request and preparing a quote: pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR).
- Ensuring the security of the site and preventing abuse: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
Your data is used neither for advertising nor for profiling, and no automated decision is made on the basis of it.
Recipients
Your data is accessible only to the studio’s two founders and to our technical provider, within the limits of its assignment: OVHcloud (OVH SAS, Roubaix, France), which hosts the site and our email. The quote form does not go through any third-party service. Your data is never sold or transferred.
Retention periods
- Request not followed up: three years after your last message.
- Client relationship: for the duration of the collaboration, then the periods required by law for accounting records (ten years).
- Host’s connection logs: one year.
- Quote form anti-abuse counter: 24 hours; older entries are deleted at the next submission.
Transfers outside the European Union
The site and our email are hosted in France by OVHcloud. We do not transfer any data outside the European Union.
Your rights
You may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, the restriction of or objection to its processing, and its portability. You may also tell us what should happen to your data after your death. Write to us at contact@versatile-edit.com; we reply within one month.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority: the CNIL in France, or the Data Protection Authority in Belgium.
Cookies and trackers
This site sets no cookies and uses no third-party services. It only keeps, in your browser and for the duration of your visit, two pieces of technical information needed for it to work. The details are in our cookie policy.
Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS, includes no advertising scripts and loads no external resources. Quote requests are accessible only to the studio’s two founders.
The quote form keeps no copy in your browser of what you type. Your request travels over an encrypted connection to the site, which immediately forwards it to our mailbox without storing it; the form is then cleared.
Updates
This policy may change; the version online is authoritative. Last updated: 8 October 2026.
